Gia Lai Province has granted an Investment Registration Certificate to Nexif Ratch Energy Se Asia PTE. LTD (Singapore) to implement the Vân Canh Bình Định Wind Power Plant project, with a total investment of VND 5,701 billion, a capacity of 143 MW, and an average annual electricity output of approximately 391.8 million kWh. The project utilizes 48.9 hectares of land in Canh Liên Commune, including turbine foundations, a substation, underground cable systems, transmission lines, auxiliary facilities, internal roads, and a management and operation building. The project’s operational duration is 50 years from the date of the land lease decision. The plant is expected to be completed and commence commercial operations by the third quarter of 2028.
The plant will provide clean electricity, contributing to energy security, promoting local economic development, creating jobs, and increasing budget revenue. The investor must adhere to the project’s objectives and timeline and is prohibited from transferring the project before completion, unless approved by the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee.
Gia Lai has significant renewable energy potential (23,000 MW), particularly in wind, solar, and hydropower, aiming to become a renewable energy industrial hub for the Central and Central Highlands regions.
